Gifts of Cash

This is the most common and easiest form of giving. Your contribution is tax-deductible* and can be made by check or credit card.

Gifts In-Kind

One of the easiest and most direct ways to give back to your community is to donate in-kind gifts.

Arlington Pediatric Center accepts in-kind donations of books (early readers through age 18) and basic necessities for babies year-round, and holds drives for coats and new toys during the winter months and holiday season!

Gifts of Stock or Appreciated Securities

If you contribute stock or other appreciated securities to the Foundation, you will be entitled to a tax deduction for the full market value of the stock or securities and do not have to pay capital gains tax. This type of gift is particularly attractive if the stock or securities are not yielding annual income and would be subject to capital gains tax if sold directly in the market.

Matching Gifts

Did you know that many employers will match your gift to the Foundation? Just check with your company's Human Resources Department to find out if your gift will go twice as far.

Legacy Gifts

Depending upon your personal goals, a legacy gift to the Foundation can address a number of financial planning matters. Whether you are interested in saving taxes, preserving your wealth, transferring assets, or creating a life income stream, a planned gift can produce attractive financial benefits to you and your family. With each paycheck you receive, give back to your community through Workplace Giving Programs.

Combined Federal Campaign: Virginia Hospital Center is a participating charity in the Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area. Continue our proud tradition of providing high quality, technologically advanced and compassionate treatment for all patients, including underserved Arlington and Northern Virginia residents. Federal employees can support the Hospital by designating Virginia Hospital Center, CFC #53594.

United Way: Does your employer participate in the United Way? Choose to support the Hospital by writing in Virginia Hospital Center in the undesignated charity section of your United Way form.

Memorial Gifts and Gifts in Tribute

Gifts to the Foundation are a thoughtful way to honor or memorialize a family member, friend or colleague. Please use the contribution form to make your tribute gift online or by mail.

All gifts made in tribute or memory are acknowledged to the person that you designate or their family. Acknowledgments do not mention the amount contributed.

The Impact of Giving

The Christopher Carter Foundation Supports Diabetes Education and Treatment

Now in its seventh year of partnership with Virginia Hospital Center Foundation, The Christopher Carter Foundation (CCF) was formed following the untimely death of Christopher Carter, at age 31, from undiagnosed diabetes. Through the dedication and hard work of a large network of CCF friends and supporters, their living memorial to Chris is providing ongoing resources to diagnose, prevent and treat diabetes in our community.

    The Jennifer Bush-Lawson Foundation Supports Healthcare For Vulnerable Mothers & Children
    The Jennifer Bush-Lawson Foundation (JB-LF) was founded in 2014, in memory of Jennifer Bush-Lawson. Built on the belief that every mother and every child deserve equal access to healthcare services in order to ensure a healthy start in life, the JB-LF funds access to medical services, counseling, and support for economically vulnerable mothers-to-be, newborn babies, and postpartum mothers who don’t have the means or resources to start their life journey on solid footing.
