Support for Diabetes Prevention, Education and Treatment
The Christopher Carter Foundation Fund supports Diabetes Education Programs at Virginia Hospital Center. 100% of all money donated to this fund directly supports this cause.
Since the fund's inception, more than $217,000 raised to support following programs:
- Care for low-income individuals with Gestational Diabetes
- Screening programs for underserved populations
- Support groups for patients with Type 1 Diabetes.
Support for Medical Care for Low-Income Mothers & Children
Virginia Hospital Center Foundation partners with the Jennifer Bush-Lawson Foundation (JB-LF) to support initiatives at the Hospital's Outpatient Clinic and Arlington Pediatric Center that provide medical care to low-income mothers and babies. This partnership funds well-child medical care for newborns and prenatal care for high-risk expectant mothers, and provides transportation assistance to low-income, expectant mothers and a safe place to sleep for new babies from low-income families.
