Arlington, VA (February 28, 2018)— For the third year in a row, Virginia Hospital Center Vice President and CIO Michael Mistretta was named one of the country's "Hospital and Health System CIOs to Know" by Becker's Hospital Review.
The 2018 list includes chief information officers and executives across the country who are leading organizations through healthcare's technology revolution. They have built robust technology departments and teams and oversee electronic health record (EHR) implementation, new patient portals, telemedicine advancement and security. All those on the 2018 list have received recognition from the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society and College of Healthcare Information Management Executives.
Mistretta joined Virginia Hospital Center as Vice President and CIO in 2015. His background includes software development, consulting and data center management services. He has worked with major vendors for EHR implementation and created solutions to increase productivity, improve quality and reduce expenses.
