Urology

Urology at Virginia Hospital Center delivers compassionate and state-of-the-art medical care for the diagnosis and management of a wide variety of genitourinary issues. Our mission, simply stated, is to provide the best urologic care possible.

Founded in June 2005, Virginia Hospital Center Physician Group - Urology is a premiere urological surgery practice that delivers compassionate, skilled, and innovative medical care for patients experiencing a wide variety of genitourinary conditions.

To this end, we seek to educate our patients regarding the extensive array of treatment options before they make significant health-related decisions. Our primary areas of expertise include urological oncology, urological laparoscopic surgery (including robot-assisted laparoscopy), general urology, reconstructive urology, male infertility, medical and minimally invasive surgical management of benign prostate enlargement, male sexual health, and male and female incontinence.

Our physicians have significant experience with the most advanced, effective, and minimally invasive treatments available. Furthermore, they take the time to educate and counsel patients regarding the extensive array of treatment options that exist.

Robotic Surgery

The computer-enhanced da Vinci® Surgical System's robotic technology takes surgery beyond the limits of the human hand, introducing precise, versatile instrument movement combined with a magnified, three-dimensional view of the organ itself.

Robotic Surgery is one of the primary areas of emphasis at Virginia Hospital Center Physician Group - Urology. Our urologists Dr. Joel and Dr. Mordkin have performed hundreds of da Vinci robotic surgeries. In addition, Drs.
