Nursing Student Scholarship Program
Virginia Hospital Center supports professional growth for nurses helping them achieve advanced nursing degrees and specialty certifications through educational opportunities, funding for training courses, tuition reimbursement and scholarships.
Currently 73% of our nurses have a bachelor of science degree in nursing (BSN) and 24% of eligible nursing staff are certified in specialty fields—well above national and state averages.
Virginia Hospital Center is affiliated with most major nursing programs in the Washington DC-metro area, including Georgetown University, George Mason University, Marymount University, George Washington University and Northern Virginia Community College. We boast a rich environment for continued learning and development for nursing students and working professional nurses alike.
We offer generous tuition reimbursement benefits for university-level coursework and for approved seminars and other continuing education programs for our nursing staff. In addition, we frequently provide on-site workshops and classes.
