Steps in the Application & Hiring Process

  • Submit an Application
After finding the open position that is the best match for your skills and work preferences, select “Apply for This Job Online” to begin the application process. Once submitting your application, you will be prompted to complete a Talent Assessment.

  • Interview
If you are selected for consideration, you will be invited to interview with the unit manager. You may also be invited in for a peer interview with up to three current VHC team members, to ensure that we are a great fit for you and vice versa. This is an important part of our process, supporting our culture of teamwork and workplace excellence.

  • Offer & Next Steps
Once interviews are complete and you are asked to move forward in the hiring process, our Recruitment team will provide details of your offer, as well as next steps for a final employment offer letter.

  • Background Check & References
Once you have verbally accepted an offer, you will receive an email to complete a background check. You will also receive an email requesting contact information for your professional references. New RN graduates must provide two letters of reference from clinical instructors and/or clinical preceptors.
