Arlington, VA (September 22, 2016) – Virginia Hospital Center is pleased to announce that we have received recognition as one of the Most Wired Hospitals for 2016 by the American Hospital Association and Health and Hospitals Network. The annual Most Wired survey is conducted every year to award the top hospitals and healthcare providers on their progressive and innovative use of technology that helps them better serve the public.

This prestigious honor was given to the Hospital due to our innovative use of technology to better provide quality care and improve patient experience. Patient engagement was a large focus of the survey, and Virginia Hospital Center’s use of telehealth to create greater transparency between all doctors and patients, while also allowing patients to access care and personal medical information remotely.
The award is based on the organization’s achievements in the areas of infrastructure, business and administrative management, clinical quality and safety, and clinical integration. The Hospital’s use of big data analytics, risk stratification, patient care strategies have allowed for patient care to become more individualized, effective, efficient, and accessible.
