Colorectal Cancer

Coming to grips with a colorectal cancer diagnosis is not easy and choosing the right surgeon is one of the most important decisions a patient will make. Virginia Hospital Center Receives National Outstanding Achievement Award from American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer.

Virginia Hospital Center’s cancer program was evaluated on 34 standards categorized within one of four areas: cancer committee leadership, cancer data management, clinical services and quality improvement. The cancer program was further evaluated on seven commendation standards. To be eligible, all award recipients must have received commendation ratings in all seven standards, in addition to receiving a compliance rating for each of the 27 other standards.
