Support for Stroke Survivors

Stroke survivors and their families come together, share questions/concerns and participate in guest lectures the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 6:00-7:00 pm in 1701 building in the Community Classroom at the Cancer Resource Center. The Group lead by physical therapists, occupational therapists, and nurses with stroke experience.

Elizabeth Gill, MEd, CCC-SLP, Speech & Language Pathologist at Virginia Hospital Center will discuss dysphagia, or difficulty swallowing. She will explain the signs and symptoms of dysphagia and aspiration as well as compensatory strategies. We hope you can join us!
