Senior Exercise

The Health Promotion Department offers several programs to keep seniors active and connected within the community.

Strength Training For Seniors:

Improve range of motion, muscle strength, and bone health. Light weights provided. 6-weeks for $42



Seated Gentle Workout:

Strength training and low-impact movement appropriate for all ages & sizes.
7-week session for $49.

  • Thursdays, 11:00-11:45 am beginning May 22 or July 17 (VHC)
  • Saturdays, 10:00-10:45 am beginning May 31 or July 19 (CS)


Seniorcise:

A low-impact, energizing exercise program especially for seniors!
Call to join the current session.  A new, 10-week session begins on Monday, June 23.

  • Mon., Wed., & Fri. 9:15-10:15 am Arlington Forest Church
  • Mon., Wed., & Fri. 9:15-10:15 am McLean Baptist Church
  • Mon. & Wed., 10:30 - 11:30 am Calvary Methodist Church, Crystal City


Gentle Yoga:

One of our most popular classes! Enjoy stretching, deep breathing & relaxation! Class is suitable for all levels & abilities.

  • Tuesdays, 9:00-10:30 am beginning May 20 or July 15  (CS)
  • Thursdays, 9:00-10:30 pm beginning May 22 or July 17 (CS)
