Special Community Event: “Fall-Risk” Assessment

When: April 24th, 1:00 – 4:00 pm, Where: Carlin Springs Health Pavilion

Virginia Hospital Center and Marymount University will provide comprehensive examinations measuring your risk for falling down. The appointment includes a one-on-one medication review, blood pressure check, vision screening, and six physical therapy tests to assess your balance and risk for a fall. A physical therapist will review your results and give you a personalized evaluation, recommendations on how to reduce or eliminate those risks, and provide education about successful independent living. Memory Screening

Virginia Hospital Center and Care Options will be sponsoring free, confidential memory screenings to promote proper detection of memory problems and provide education about successful aging. The one-to-one, noninvasive screening takes only about five to ten minutes administered by a qualified healthcare professional.
