Quality Laboratory Services

Our Laboratory Services are of uncommon quality. Four board-certified anatomic and clinical pathologists direct the lab, and a Registered Medical Technologist supervises every department.

Staffed 24 hours a day, the lab maintains a staff of Medical Technologists certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.

• Our lab is licensed and certified by The College of American Pathologists, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the Bureau of Biologics.
• Our Blood Bank has dual accreditation by the College of American Pathologists and the American Association of Blood Banks.

The laboratory participates in proficiency programs provided by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, the College of American Pathologists, the Centers for Disease Control, and the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Health.
