A NEW PRACTICE TO SUIT YOUR LIFESTYLE
Virginia Hospital Center Physician Group announces the opening of its newest practice, Primary Care—Tysons. The office is located in the new Tysons West development, just steps from the soon-to-be-completed Spring Hill Station on the Metrorail Silver Line.
Lead physician at Primary Care—Tysons is Alice M. Pugh, MD, FACP. Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Pugh has been in practice for nearly 20 years. Her prior practice was with the military where she was honored as the Most Outstanding U.S. Army Internist. She is joined by Kate Snodgrass, MD, who has a special interest in women’s health. Dr. Snodgrass is Board Certified in Family Medicine.
Designed to accommodate patients’ busy lifestyles, the new Primary Care—Tysons practice offers the convenience of same-day appointments, in-house lab services and electronic prescriptions. Best of all, the practice does not close for lunch. Appointments are available during lunchtime hours and the phones are answered all day. Primary Care—Tysons sees adults 18 years of age and older and accepts most insurance plans, including Medicare and Tricare.
The late 19th century scientist Sir William Osler said, “The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease.” That approach exemplifies Dr. Pugh’s philosophy of practicing medicine.
“At Primary Care—Tysons, we take the time to get to know our patients, understand their individual needs and provide the best approach to their care,” says Dr. Pugh. “We create an environment where our patients can feel comfortable asking us any questions they may have and discussing all aspects of their health.” That kind of comfort level leads to a trusting relationship between the patient and physician, Dr. Snodgrass says.
“As primary care physicians, we see you as a whole person. We work together with you to create a balanced, healthy lifestyle.”
