Arlington, VA (April, 2014) – The Virginia Hospital Center Department of Radiation Oncology was dedicated and renamed as The Hitt Family Center for Radiation Oncology at a private ceremony on March 20, 2014.

Russell & Joan Hitt

Our longtime supporters Russell and Joan Hitt helped to fund the expansion of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Virginia Hospital Center.
Russell Hitt is Chairman of HITT Contracting, Inc., which was founded in Arlington, Virginia, by his parents in 1937 and remains a family-owned company. Russell oversees all aspects of corporate and financial operations company-wide and is actively involved in projects of all size and scale. In addition, Russell has served on numerous advisory and volunteer boards during his tenure, and is currently active with Capital Hospice, the building and construction departments of Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech, and the Fishburne Military School.
