| Bio: | Dr. Poropatich has been a member of the Medical Staff since 1993. She is a graduate of Penn State Medical School where she was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed her anatomic pathology residence at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and her clinical pathology residence at George Washington University where she also completed a combined surgical pathology/cytopathology fellowship. She is Board Certified in both Anatomy and Clinical Pathology. She has a special interest in transfusion medicine and microbiology and has published numerous articles in the fields of microbiology, cytology and surgical pathology. She has served on multiple hospital communities and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathology, United States and Canada Association of Pathology and the Arlington County Medical Society.
