Bio:

Laura Riggins, MD, FAAFP is a member of Virginia Hospital Center Physician Group - Primary Care Falls Church. She completed medical school at the University of Virginia and residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, (UMDNJ), Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where she was chief resident during her third year. Dr. Riggins has worked in a variety of settings since graduation from residency, including private practice at Hillsborough Medical Associates, academic medicine at UMDNJ, New Jersey Medical School, and a hospital owned practice with Capital Health. An avid runner since her track days in grammar school, she has participated in many races from 5ks to marathons to raise money for cancer research and treatment and helped others do so as well. She has been actively involved with her community, participating in health fairs and lectures on chronic medical conditions such as diabetes.
