Emily Caster, PsyD is a Clinical Neuropsychologist. Dr. Caster is a member of the Virginia Hospital Center Physician Group - Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. She specialized in psychological testing which helps with differential diagnosis, can assist with medical consideration, and aid in treatment recommendations. The typical evaluation encompasses assessment of an individual’s attention and concentration, visuospatial perception, visual scanning and processing speed, language, learning and memory, executive functioning, and personality. Among the individuals who benefit from neuropsychology testing are those who suffered head injury (Traumatic Brain Injury - due to internal or external factors), stroke victims, individuals with memory concerns or those with difficulty in any of the previously mentioned areas. Dr. Caster evaluates individuals of all ages, including children with cognitive concerns, such as possible Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD), learning disorders or academic placement issues.

As inpatient neuropsychological, Dr. Caster is conducting evaluations at the Virginia Hospital Center, as well as outpatient assessments at Virginia Hospital Center Physician Group. She also provides psychological evaluations for pre-surgical candidates.
