Virginia Hospital Center Received Magnet® Recognition
On behalf of Virginia Hospital Center’s Shared Governance Magnet Councils and Champions, we are proud to announce that the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) has granted Virginia Hospital Center Magnet recognition
, thereby giving Virginia Hospital Center status as a Magnet-recognized Hospital.
The ANCC’s Magnet Recognition Program®
is the highest level of acknowledgement of a healthcare organization’s quality patient care, nursing excellence and innovations in professional nursing practice.
Magnet recognition is a very prestigious credential that requires specific standards being met or exceeded. It reflects a tremendous amount of work and a true team effort, but – most importantly for our patients – Magnet excellence serves as the benchmark for quality nursing practice and patient care.
Thank you to all the Virginia Hospital Center nurses whose dedication, hard work and compassionate care have contributed to our status as a Magnet-recognized Hospital. The Magnet Recognition Program requires organizations to develop, disseminate and live evidence-based criteria which results in a positive work environment for nurses and, by extension, all employees. It means a spirit of collaboration that includes the whole organization. We congratulate and share this recognition with the entire Virginia Hospital Center family: our Board, nurses, physicians, staff and volunteers.
