Virginia Hospital Center is pleased to introduce the Healing Garden, a 1.5 acre sanctuary featuring native plants, a soothing fountain and wheelchair-accessible walking paths. Open to all Hospital patients, visitors and community members, the Healing Garden was created in thanks to the Arlington community for 60 years of steadfast support. Local arborists were consulted to ensure the preservation of healthy, old-growth trees.
The site is also now home to flowering cherries, magnolias, azaleas, hydrangeas, mountain laurels, rhododendrons, viburnums, junipers, daylilies, hostas, bleeding hearts and crocuses. Indigenous species were carefully selected to ensure a beautiful garden for all seasons. Maintained by the Hospital, the Healing Garden is open daily from dawn to dusk and is patrolled by Hospital security.
Please come and enjoy this peaceful spot for contemplation and rejuvenation.
