In 2000, Archie McPherson, MD joined Virginia Hospital Center as Vice President, Chief Medical Officer, having responsibility for physician relations and Quality Assurance/Risk Management.
Dr. McPherson has been a practicing Neurologist and a member of the Virginia Hospital Center Medical Staff since 1964. From 1995 to 1999, Dr. McPherson served as President of the Medical Staff where he was an active member of the Board. Dr. McPherson is a member of many professional and civic organizations including the American Academy of Neurology, Arlington County Medical Society and the Medical Society of Virginia.
Dr. McPherson received a B.A. from the University of Sackatchewa in 1956, an M.D. from the University of Sackatchewa in 1960, and an M.P.H. from Johns Hopkins University in 1973.
