Jeffrey DiLisi, MD
Vice President & Chief Medical Officer
Jeffrey DiLisi, MD came to Virginia Hospital Center in June 2009. In his capacity as Vice President & Chief Medical Officer, Dr. DiLisi is responsible for the Quality Resource Management Division and the Medical Staff Office. Before assuming his current role in December 2011, Dr. DiLisi served at Virginia Hospital Center as an attending physician, as Co-Medical Director of the Hospitalist Group, and as Associate Vice President of Medical Affairs.
Prior to working at Virginia Hospital Center, Dr. DiLisi was with Tryphon Capital, a healthcare-focused hedge fund. Previous to that, he worked for Pappas Ventures, a life science venture capital firm. In his positions with both companies, Dr. DiLisi brought to bear the educational background that combined business and medicine.
Dr. DiLisi graduated from Duke University with a B.S. in Mathematics and received his M.D. from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. After completing an Internal Medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, he received his M.B.A. from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
